Transit of Venus

From Milwaukee, the transit will start at 5:04 PM at about 35 degrees above the horizon. The partial phase will end at 5:22 PM. Venus will still be in transit at sunset. The disk of the planet will be about 1 arc minute in diameter so it is visible without the use of a telescope, but beware!
Use a solar filter for all observations.
